Gracie Our dog, Gracie, is the one who had a fast-growing mammary tumor, which swelled to the size of a grapefruit rapidly. The veterinarian, who had years of experience with such things and hundreds of surgeries under her belt, tried to prepare me pre-op for the worst, in that it was probably cancerous and a good outcome would likely not be achieved. In my mind, I refused to acknowledge that report and said to myself, "Satan, you don't get the last word on this, God Almighty does." After the surgery, the Vet sent the tumor and some adjacent lymph nodes to a well-renowned Veterinary University in a major city, which specializes in such matters. About a week later, she received the biopsy report and was blown away by it.
